Mark graduated from UQ as a Physiotherapist in 1990 and worked for 17 years in numerous clinical roles in Qld, WA and Chicago (US) before moving into Health and Safety with the Townsville HHS. He has overseen the transition of their approach to managing manual handling hazards from a training centred approach to a more comprehensive team hazard management approach. This has involved a great deal of learning from other disciplines, including Occ Therapy and Psychology. Mark believes the future of effective hazard management needs to be a multi-disciplinary approach.
