Coaching is a process of listening and directed
questioning which aims to assist the Coachee to find their way towards the goal
or goals they have set. It is a complementary approach to programs like
Participative Ergonomics or towards meeting the consultation requirements in
the WHS Act (2011).
Mark Enders has used a coaching approach to addressing a number of issues within a variety of work units within the Townsville HHS. These have ranged from manual handling and ergonomic issues, to the safer management of bariatric patients. In this session he will be sharing his approach and the outcomes this helped achieve.
